Step 2 - Pay and login
After your application you will receive an invoice by e-mail. A few days after your payment, you will receive your login details by email and you can start entering data using the web interface.
Step 3 - Entering data
Before entering any data, study the following documentation:
- International measurement rules
- Attributes list (for both logistic and label information)
- Guidelines for the exchange of product images
If you are a supplier of packaged food or pharmacy products, besides logistic data you should also enter label information (a.o. allergens, ingredients and nutritional values).
Outcourcing entering/uploading article data
Suppliers can outsource the entry and/or uploading of product data. In that case, your data will not require checking. Multiple Data Management Services are accredited to enter and check data for suppliers.
Step 4 - Checking your data quality
When signed up for GS1 Data Source, you automatically participate in the data quality programme. This means, among other things, that the product data of the products you enter will be checked.
- You yourself ensure your data is checked by GS1 accredited Data Management Service (DMS). They check whether the data from and on your products are the same as those you have entered.
- Before the checks, you send in the products or pdf's of packages you are entering data of to the DMS op (both a consumer unit and a trade unit). You choose your own DMS and pass it on in MyGS1.
